Profemur® Renaissance® hip stem
Canal filling stem philosophy
Designed to deliver both proximal and distal fixation, the Profemur® Renaissance® hip stem features a unique “canal filling” hip stem to maximize contact between the hip stem and the bone. The objective of this design is maximum stability via bone apposition. With primary fixation in the diaphysis, rotational stability is achieved through use of distal splines. Metaphyseal flare options then accommodate differences between the proximal and distal bone geometry. A slotted, rounded distal tip minimizes the risk of fracture during insertion and point contact in the canal after implantation.
