Profemur® Am® hip stem

Anatomic proximal fill stem philosophy

To accommodate proximal femoral curvature, the Profemur® Am hip stem offers an advanced anatomical design for left or right implantation in the patient’s femur. With an HA or plasma coating in the proximal portion, the stem is intended to create optimized proximal dimension for enhanced load distribution. For patient comfort, the highly polished distal portion is also reduced at the tip to minimize point contact in the thigh.

Anatomic design
- Left and right specific options with built in helitorsion to accommodate the curvature of the proximal femur
Proximal press-fit
- Tapered Ti Plasma and HA Coating with an optimized proximal geometry aids in load distribution and initial press-fit fixation through large metaphyseal contact
Ease of insertion
- Highly polished and reduced distal tip allows for smooth insertion and minimized point contact in the femur
