Profemur® Gladiator® Hip Stems
Triple taper stem philosophy
Designed for primary hip replacement surgery, the Profemur® Gladiator® hip stem is a triple tapered wedge stem with a distinct geometry. The hip stem is designed with a reduced lateral shoulder convenient for tissue sparing techniques. In addition to three point fixation, the stem’s shape also allows for medial and lateral contact with cortical bone. Plasma spray or HA coatings and an anteroposterior taper allow for contact in the frontal plane. Horizontal grooves are designed to more evenly distribute load forces, while vertical grooves assist with rotational stability.
